There’s a great site called 5 Minutes for Mom and they are hosting one fantastic party! Click in the button at the right to check it out.
So here’s my party post. My name is Amy and I am mommy to two beautiful kids. My son Alex just turned 5 and my daughter Isabelle will be 1 at the end of May. I have been married to my wonderful husband Ben for 8.5 years. The reason for this blog is my son’s allergy to peanuts and starting his school years.
A little more about me: I’m a SAHM, I love photography and am thinking of taking some classes so I can get better, I used to be a volunteer firefighter before having kids (my husband still is), and I have recently discovered the joy of digital scrapbooking.

best of luck with the school – thank heavens many schools are starting to take allergies seriously. My family has a LOT of allergies but no peanut or tree nut sensitivities have shown up so far.

Hmm, peanut allergies, I am so glad I don’ t have to contend with that. It must be quite a challenge. I have a Peanut though, I hope she will not complicate your son’s allergies. She’s quite a joy to have around. I hope you’ll drop by and meet her and the rest of my family.
Happy partying!

Welcome to the party!
I know that sending your son to school will be difficult — it’s hard enough when no food allergies are involve.
We homeschool and it’s hard enough to do regular activities that involve food (my daughter can’t have gluten), so my heart goes out to you.
Wishing you the best as you start this new journey in the fall.

Hello! Welcome to the blog party!
Stop over to our blog and check out Wee Wee Wear for some allergy awareness tees! My son is also allergic to peanuts (and eggs)!

My nephew is allergic to gluten, soy, and about three other things, but not peanuts. I am surprised about that because they eat peanut butter like crazy.
Nice to “meet” you!

My son has a friend at school that is very allergic to all tree nuts. His school went nut free just for him.
Hope you have a great party!

That’s a funny video…

That video is so funny, thanks for sharing! I have a food allergy, but mine isn’t as severe. My reaction is a very painful stomache attack, so I can understand. I hate to try to spam you so please forgive me, but I think the item I have can be helpful. It’s a name lable that goes on the outside of bottle/sippy cups/water bottles and you can put your childn’s name and have Peanut Allergy written below. http://www.littlepiddles.com/custombumpyname2.html. I know online I have also seen braceletes that say the childs fod allergy as well. You could probably do a Google for them. Again sorry to promote my store in this post, I just know how serious peanut allergies are. At my daughter’s old school they had peanut free rooms. My one friend has to have to cook with completely different pots and pans as well as cooking utensils since her daughter’s was so serious.

Hi, Amy. We are opposites. My bigger son luuuurrrvvs peanuts so much. Roasted, boiled, preserved, fresh. He even attempted to eat it raw. He is able to eat whatever the quantity available. So if there’s a lot, he won’t eat the next meal. I just bank on the nutrients of peanuts. Thank God it’s nutritious. -Kat of Raising Boys

Hi. Both of our kids – 9 and 4 – have peanut allergies. The eldest has a myriad of other allergies as well. I’ll be interested to read more of your blog.
